UAE, Russia agree to cooperate in space industry

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Russia on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to build a strategic partnership in the field of space exploration.
The MoU was inked by Chairman of the UAE Space Agency Khalifa Mohammed Al-Rumaithi and General Director of the Russian Federal Space Agency ROSCOMOS Igor Komarov.

On Friday, British astronaut Tim Peake announced his intention to compete in the London Marathon - from space.
Peake is scheduled to blast off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, in Kazakhstan, as part of Expedition 46. He will be joined on his trip to the International Space Station by NASA astronaut Tim Kopra and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko of Roscosmos.

Orbital ATK will attempt to make it third time lucky Saturday in the launch of its Cygnus space cargo ship after high winds off Florida forced a second postponement in as many days.
